The Long Patrol -Algeria

05-28 November 2026 (TBC) (CAT 1 & 2)

Cost: Estimated at £1850 per person. TBC by March 2026.

PPE will be attempting it’s most ambitious and challenging expedition yet. In November 2026, we will be headed deep into the heart of the Algerian Sahara on an expedition that will cover over 1000 miles of deep desert.

Supported by experienced Saharan expedition operator Desartica, we will be recceing areas that few, if any, have ever explored. This will include navigation to remote resupply cache’s, examination of old French Foreign Legion forts and following in the footsteps of early desert expeditions from the late 1800’s.

This expedition will require very well-prepared vehicles, fairly fit crew and a sense of humor to keep you going when the going gets tough…and it will.

LRDG Aegean Exploration

September 2026 (No vehicles)

A different type of expedition for the PPE. This time crews will set off in chartered boats of the type used by the LRDG in the Aegean and sail to the uninhabited or sparsely populated islands where the LRDG and early SBS faced a different kind of challenge.
